The 2007 election is now over. Thank you to everyone who voted and all involved in making the elections a success.

This site provides you with information on all the candidates for the elections to become
Members of the Youth Parliament (or MYPs) and also full guidelines on how to vote online.

    • The district is divided into 5 areas called constituencies each of which will elect 6 members to the Youth Parliament. A list of the areas in each constituency is detailed on the constituency page.
    • If you are aged between 11-21 years you are eligible to vote in the BKYP elections. You may be asked for proof of identity at the polling station and via the online system.
    • Each voter can only vote for one candidate in the election.
    • Votes are not area restricted e.g. it doesn’t matter which of the constituencies you live in you can vote for any candidate.
    • All voters have to register at the polling station or via the online voting system, you cannot vote unless you register.
    • All young people will have to sign a declaration of honesty form stating that they have read the rules for voting in the elections.
