“I AM THE VOICE OF YOUNG PEOPLE”
My name is Shane Crowther and I go to Oakbank School. I am 14 years of age and have lived in Denholme for 1 and a half years. I enjoy going to the youth centre and find the people that attend it are very nice people.
It is good to keep 13-19 year olds off the streets where they often find themselves in trouble. I would mostly like to change the facilities that are in Denholme to improve and also encourage other teenagers to come. I would also like to open the youth café on more days a week; this would yet again keep youths off the streets. I also think that if we had more trips and opportunities to try new things at the youth club, then more teenagers will want to join.
I would like to represent the voices of young people and make the youths of the local community have a say in what happens!
