“Unity in the Community”
I have lived in east Morton for about 6 years. In my spare time I like to draw things and be creative.
I would like to bring people together in Keighley by holding different activities for the community, for example, a community picnic in the summer with lots of fun games and activities. This could help people from different backgrounds to understand each other and realise that they’re not so different.
These activities would also help to stop racism and other problems like bullying. This is important because there is a lot of racism and bullying everywhere and I believe that if a community is brought together then it will help put a stop to these issues.
I am the best person for the job as a MYP because I am confident, which is a key when speaking and fighting for what you believe in. I’m good at communicating which is useful because in order to say your views you have to listen to other people’s. I am also organised so would make sure things will be done on time, therefore I would be able to manage my time to make room to work on other issues.
