Hi I’m Kristen, I’m 13 years old and I’m standing as an MYP for Bradford West.
I love Kayaking and playing the piano. I know that in Bradford there is little for youths to do. Consequently, more and more kids hang around outside shops and this can make people feel intimidated. Therefore, I strongly feel that there should be more activity groups for us to go to where everyone is invited regardless of race, religion or faith. I would like to approach local schools and existing youth group’s to find out what they want to be changed and how we can make this happen.
I would take the views of these new youth groups to the media so they finally have something positive to say about us. It will generate more interests and change people’s views of us.
I would be the ideal person for doing this as I am very confident in talking and approaching people. I will always keep people informed of the progress made and always want to hear from YOU.
