Hello my name is Lauren Jade Tear and I go to Bingley Grammar School, I’m in year 9 and have lived in Wilsden for 7 years.
In my spare time I like to be creative and want to change the park in Wilsden. At the moment the park isn’t right for all age groups, we need somewhere safe where younger children can play and older teenagers can go when the youth club is closed. I want to create a park that is split up into two areas, one area for the younger kids where there is all soft toys, mini roundabouts and swings. The other side will be for teenagers. This is where I want to build a youth shelter and a seating area where teenagers can chill with their friends. Separating the two areas will be a wall. The children’s side will be decorated with cartoons and flowers, the teenage side will be decorated with street art and the wall will be re-painted every 6 months so everyone gets a chance to have their art displayed.
